UK supermarkets slash banana prices again

Asda has again dramatically cut the price of it's bananas. The Grocer magazine reported last month that the supermarket had reduced the price of bananas to a nine month low of 67p/kg on 13th Aug. The other major UK supermarkets have followed suit. These price cuts have given rise to discussions on the ethics of the big supermarkets.

Price of tomatoes in key markets across the country dropped significantly in the week to September 3, according to Esoko market watchers. Kumasi Central market and the Agbogbloshie markets witnessed significant tomato price drop in the week, but the Kumasi Central market had the biggest downward trend.
